Ingredients

  • cups warm water 95-105°F
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley

Instructions

  • Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease.
  • In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast; let proof 2-5 minutes until foamy.
  • Add oil, salt, egg, and flour (1 cup at a time). Mix and knead with stand mixer or by hand for about 4 minutes until soft dough forms.
  • Spray hands with baking spray, divide dough into 15 balls, and place in prepared pan.
  • Cover with towel and let rise in a warm spot for 5-10 minutes while preheating oven to 375°F.
  • Brush rolls with melted butter; sprinkle garlic powder, Parmesan, and parsley on top.
  • Bake rolls for 18-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm.

Notes

Avoid adding too much flour to keep rolls soft. You can also brush extra garlic butter on warm rolls before serving for extra flavor and moisture.
