Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts​
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce​
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese​
  • 4 slices bacon​
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).​
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.​

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.​
  • In the same skillet, sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.​
  • Place the seared chicken breasts in a baking dish.​
  • Brush each chicken breast with barbecue sauce.​
  • Crumble the cooked bacon and sprinkle over the chicken.​
  • Top each chicken breast with shredded cheddar cheese.​
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Notes

  • Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.​
  • For a spicier version, use a spicy barbecue sauce or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.​
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
