Air Fryer Macaroni Cheese Balls Recipe

Crispy on the outside, creamy and cheesy inside — these air fryer mac & cheese balls are a crowd-pleasing comfort snack without the mess of deep frying. Ideal for parties, quick bites, or cheesy cravings!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cooked macaroni
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup cream cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil spray for air fryer

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix macaroni, cheddar, cream cheese, Parmesan, garlic powder, and pepper.
  • Shape mixture into small balls and freeze for 20 minutes to firm.
  • Coat each ball in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs.
  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Lightly spray balls with oil and place in air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  • Serve hot with marinara or ranch dip.

Notes

  • Freeze the balls longer if too soft to handle.
  • Add cooked bacon bits or jalapeños for variation.
  • Store leftovers in fridge and reheat in the air fryer for best results.
