Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought angel food cake cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Chocolate sauce or caramel sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  • Cut angel food cake into bite-sized cubes.
  • In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon.
  • Heat oil in a deep skillet over medium heat.
  • Fry cake cubes in batches until golden brown, about 1–2 minutes per side.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • Roll warm cake cubes in cinnamon sugar to coat.
  • Serve immediately with chocolate or caramel sauce.

Notes

  • Best served fresh; coating sticks best when the bites are warm.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan for even frying.
  • You can air fry at 375°F for 4–5 minutes for a lighter version.
