Ingredients
  

  • 10 cups small pretzel twists
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place pretzels in a large mixing bowl.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, then stir in brown sugar until smooth and bubbly (about 3 minutes).
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and baking soda (mixture will foam).
  • Pour caramel mixture over pretzels, toss to coat evenly.
  • Spread coated pretzels on prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  • Cool completely before serving or storing.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle sea salt or drizzle with melted chocolate after baking.
