- 6 –8 slices of thick bread French, brioche, or sandwich bread
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning or dried oregano
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley optional
- Pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a small baking dish.
In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, herbs, and salt.
Lightly toast the bread slices (optional for extra crunch).
Spread each slice with butter mixture and layer them in the baking dish.
Sprinkle cheeses evenly between and on top of the bread layers.
Drizzle any remaining butter on top.
Bake for 15–20 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
