- 1 large round loaf of sourdough or Italian bread
- ½ cup unsalted butter melted
- 3 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Optional: crushed red pepper flakes
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Using a sharp knife, cut the bread into 1-inch wide criss-cross slices, without cutting all the way through.
In a bowl, mix melted butter, garlic, parsley, and Italian seasoning.
Carefully open the cuts in the bread and drizzle garlic butter into the cracks.
Stuff shredded mozzarella evenly between the slices.
Sprinkle the top with Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if using.
Wrap the bread in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
Unwrap and bake for another 5–10 minutes until golden and melty.
Serve hot—pull apart and enjoy!
- Use a dense loaf so it holds its shape when stuffed.
- Great for sharing at parties, game day, or alongside pasta dishes.
- Customize with cooked bacon bits, jalapeños, or different cheeses.
- Best enjoyed fresh out of the oven!
