- 1.5 lb raw shrimp peeled and deveined
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tbsp avocado or olive oil divided
- Sea salt and black pepper to taste
- Juice of 2 fresh limes
- Handful of fresh cilantro chopped
- 8-10 Romaine or butter lettuce leaves rinsed and dried
- 1 large avocado diced
- 1 red chili thinly sliced (optional for heat)
In a large bowl, combine shrimp with cumin, smoked paprika, garlic, juice of 1 lime, 1 tbsp oil, salt, and pepper; toss well to coat.
Optional: Marinate shrimp in fridge for 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.
Heat remaining oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook shrimp for about 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque.
In a large bowl, gently mix cooked shrimp, diced avocado, cilantro, sliced chili, juice of remaining lime, and a drizzle of oil.
Spoon mixtures onto lettuce leaves, wrap, and serve immediately.
- For a milder wrap, omit the red chili or adjust to taste.
