Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb raw shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp avocado or olive oil divided
  • Sea salt and black pepper to taste
  • Juice of 2 fresh limes
  • Handful of fresh cilantro chopped
  • 8-10 Romaine or butter lettuce leaves rinsed and dried
  • 1 large avocado diced
  • 1 red chili thinly sliced (optional for heat)

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine shrimp with cumin, smoked paprika, garlic, juice of 1 lime, 1 tbsp oil, salt, and pepper; toss well to coat.
  • Optional: Marinate shrimp in fridge for 15 minutes for enhanced flavor.
  • Heat remaining oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook shrimp for about 3-4 minutes until pink and opaque.
  • In a large bowl, gently mix cooked shrimp, diced avocado, cilantro, sliced chili, juice of remaining lime, and a drizzle of oil.
  • Spoon mixtures onto lettuce leaves, wrap, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a milder wrap, omit the red chili or adjust to taste.
  • Use butter lettuce for a softer wrap or romaine for extra crunch.
  • Can be served in tortillas for a more filling wrap.
  • Perfect for meal prep if keeping components separate until serving.
