- 2 cups whole milk
- 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Fresh baked biscuits for serving
Whisk together cocoa, flour, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
Gradually whisk in milk over medium heat until smooth.
Cook while whisking constantly until mixture thickens (about 7-10 minutes).
Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla until melted and incorporated.
Serve warm over split biscuits
