- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tsp instant coffee granules
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 ½ tsp powdered gelatin
- 3 tbsp cold water
In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes.
In a saucepan, combine cream, milk, sugar, and coffee granules; heat until sugar dissolves (do not boil).
Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract.
Add gelatin mixture and whisk until fully dissolved.
Pour into serving glasses or molds.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until set.
Serve plain or with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
- Adjust coffee strength to taste.
- For dairy-free version, use coconut milk and coconut cream.
- Can be made 2 days ahead for convenience.
