Cookie Monster Cookies: Easy, Chewy, and Chocolaty Recipe
These vibrant blue Cookie Monster Cookies are soft, chewy, and loaded with chocolate chips, crushed Oreos, and cookie pieces. Inspired by the beloved Sesame Street character, they combine fun colors and whimsical mix-ins for a playful and delicious treat that kids and adults will love.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 ¼ cups brown sugar packed
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Royal blue electric blue, and violet gel food coloring
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅔ cup white chocolate chips divided
- ⅔ cup chopped Chips Ahoy cookies
- ⅔ cup chopped Oreos
- Candy eyeballs optional for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla extract; beat until combined.
- Mix dry ingredients: flour, cornstarch, baking soda, salt. Gradually add to wet mixture.
- Add food coloring gels a little at a time to achieve bright blue color, mixing thoroughly.
- Fold in half the white chocolate chips, chopped Chips Ahoy, and chopped Oreos.
- Scoop dough into 2-tablespoon-sized balls and press remaining chips and cookie pieces on top.
- Place on baking sheet spaced apart and bake 10-12 minutes, until edges just start to set.
- Cool on baking sheet 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
- Decorate with candy eyeballs if desired.
