- ½ cup millet
- 1½ cups water
- 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
- 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt

Rinse millet thoroughly under cold water.
In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and stir in millet.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add milk, salt, vanilla, and sweetener; stir and cook for another 10 minutes until creamy.
Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
