Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup millet
  • cups water
  • 1 cup milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: fresh fruits nuts, seeds, nut butter

Instructions
 

  • Rinse millet thoroughly under cold water.
  • In a saucepan, bring water to a boil and stir in millet.
  • Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Add milk, salt, vanilla, and sweetener; stir and cook for another 10 minutes until creamy.
  • Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • Use coconut milk for extra richness.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated with a splash of milk.
