Delicious Cinnamon Sugar Cruffins Recipe

Flaky, buttery, and coated in sweet cinnamon sugar—cruffins are the magical lovechild of croissants and muffins! These bakery-style treats are surprisingly easy to make at home with puff pastry, delivering layers of cinnamon-spiced indulgence in every bite.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Extra melted butter for brushing
  • Additional cinnamon sugar for rolling

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a muffin tin.
  • Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface into a rectangle.
  • Brush with melted butter and sprinkle evenly with cinnamon sugar.
  • Roll tightly from the short end into a log.
  • Slice the log lengthwise to expose layers, then coil each half into a muffin tin.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  • Brush warm cruffins with melted butter and roll in extra cinnamon sugar.
  • Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use two puff pastry sheets for a bigger batch.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom to the sugar mix.
  • Best enjoyed the same day, but can be reheated in the oven.
