- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a separate large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Mix in vanilla extract.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour mixture.
