Ingredients

  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • cups Greek yogurt
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic roasted or minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) for roasting garlic; roast garlic cloves wrapped in foil for 45-50 minutes until soft.
  • In a bowl, mix roasted garlic, softened butter, Italian seasoning, salt, and parsley to make garlic butter; set aside.
  • In a separate bowl, combine Greek yogurt and self-rising flour; knead lightly until dough forms.
  • Divide dough into two balls; flatten on a greased surface to desired thickness.
  • Heat a skillet with a little oil over medium heat; cook each flatbread 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Brush hot flatbreads with garlic butter generously and serve immediately.

Notes

Using Greek yogurt keeps dough moist and tender without yeast. Roasting garlic mellows flavor; substitute fresh minced garlic if short on time. Serve warm for best taste.
