Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups half-and-half or milk
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium-low heat.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes without browning.
  • Stir in flour and Italian seasoning, cook for 1-2 minutes to form a roux.
  • Gradually whisk in half-and-half, stirring constantly until sauce thickens slightly (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Remove from heat, stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
  • Cool slightly before using on pizza or as a dip.

Notes

  • Avoid browning garlic to keep a smooth flavor.
  • Use half-and-half for creaminess; milk can be substituted for lighter sauce.
  • Sauce thickens as it cools; reheat gently if needed.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 5 days.
