A homemade Crunchwrap Supreme recreates the beloved Taco Bell classic with layers of seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, crunchy tostada shell, fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and creamy sour cream, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla and pan-fried to golden perfection. This fun and satisfying handheld meal offers a delicious combination of textures and flavors.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp ground paprika
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 large flour tortillas 10-inch plus 4 smaller rounds cut from tortillas
- 4 tostada shells or 2 cups tortilla chips for crunch
- ½ cup nacho cheese sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- ⅔ cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil for frying
Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat with chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper until browned and cooked through (about 6 minutes). Drain excess fat.
Cut 4 smaller tortilla rounds by tracing around tostada shells on stacked large tortillas with a paring knife.
Warm remaining large tortillas briefly to make pliable.
On each large tortilla, spread a scoop of cooked beef in the center. Drizzle with nacho cheese sauce.
Place a tostada shell on top, then spread sour cream over it. Add lettuce, tomatoes, and shredded cheeses on top.
Place a smaller tortilla round over the filling, then tightly fold the edges of the large tortilla inward to enclose the filling, creating pleats. Flip carefully so the seam is on the bottom.
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the Crunchwrap seam-side down for about 3-4 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Repeat with remaining Crunchwraps.
Serve immediately while warm and crispy.
