Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs salmon fillet
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat salmon dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • In a bowl, mix butter, honey, garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and mustard.
  • Place salmon on a baking sheet and coat with the glaze.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes. Broil for 2-3 minutes for a golden top.
  • Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges before serving.

Notes

  1. Overcooking the salmon – Leads to dryness; always check the internal temperature.
  2. Skipping the resting time – Let the salmon sit for 5 minutes before serving to allow juices to redistribute.
  3. Using too much glaze – A thick layer can overpower the natural salmon flavor.
  4. Forgetting to pat the salmon dry – Helps the glaze stick better.
