- For the Cake:
- 1 box orange or yellow cake mix
- 1 cup orange juice
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- Zest of 1 orange
- For the Glaze:
- ½ cup honey
- ⅓ cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tsp orange zest
- 1 tbsp butter
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix cake mix, orange juice, oil, eggs, and orange zest until smooth.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 28–32 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let cake cool for 10 minutes, then use a wooden skewer to poke holes all over the cake.
In a small saucepan, combine honey, orange juice, orange zest, and butter.
Bring to a gentle boil and stir until butter is melted and glaze is smooth.
Pour the warm glaze evenly over the poked cake.
Let the cake absorb the glaze and cool completely before slicing and serving.
