- 8 oz crumbled feta cheese
- 2 tbsp fresh dill chopped
- 1 clove garlic grated
- 18 sheets phyllo dough thawed
- 3 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil for brushing
- 1 tbsp salted butter
- 1½ tsp chili flakes
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- ⅓ cup honey
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix crumbled feta, chopped dill, and grated garlic until combined.
Lay one sheet of phyllo dough flat on a clean surface and fold in half lengthwise. Brush edges with olive oil.
Spoon a small amount of feta mixture near one end. Roll tightly, tucking in sides as you go. Place roll seam-side down on baking sheet. Repeat.
Brush tops of rolls with olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
While baking, melt butter and olive oil in a small pan over low heat. Add chili flakes and cumin seeds; cook until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in honey.
Drizzle warm rolls with chili honey or serve on the side for dipping.
- Be gentle while handling phyllo to prevent tearing; cover unused sheets with a damp cloth.
- Adjust chili flakes for desired spice level in the honey.
- These rolls can be reheated in the oven or air fryer for crispiness.
- Serve as an appetizer or with a fresh salad for a light meal
