Parmesan Roasted Garlic Asparagus Recipe

Crisp-tender asparagus spears roasted with garlic and olive oil, then topped with golden Parmesan—this simple yet elegant side dish adds flavor and freshness to any meal

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb fresh asparagus trimmed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: lemon wedges for serving

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  • Toss asparagus with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  • Spread evenly on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast for 12–15 minutes, until tender and slightly crisp.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan.
  • Return to oven for 2 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  • Serve warm, with lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

  • Thicker asparagus may need a few extra minutes in the oven.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  • Great with chicken, fish, or pasta.
  • Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven.
