Parmesan Roasted Garlic Asparagus Recipe

Crisp-tender asparagus spears roasted with garlic and olive oil, then topped with golden Parmesan—this simple yet elegant side dish adds flavor and freshness to any meal

- 1 lb fresh asparagus trimmed
 - 2 tbsp olive oil
 - 3 garlic cloves minced
 - ⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
 - ½ tsp salt
 - ¼ tsp black pepper
 - Optional: lemon wedges for serving
 
 
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
Toss asparagus with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
Spread evenly on the baking sheet in a single layer.
Roast for 12–15 minutes, until tender and slightly crisp.
Remove from oven and sprinkle with Parmesan.
Return to oven for 2 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
Serve warm, with lemon wedges if desired.
 
- Thicker asparagus may need a few extra minutes in the oven.
 
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
 
- Great with chicken, fish, or pasta.
 
- Can be made ahead and reheated in the oven.
