- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 large egg
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk optional
- Colored sanding sugar blue, pink, yellow, purple
- 24 Hershey Kisses or Cadbury Mini Eggs unwrapped
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg, vanilla extract, and milk; mix until combined.
Gradually add dry ingredients; mix until dough forms.
Roll dough into 1-inch balls; roll balls in colored sanding sugar.
Place on baking sheets spaced apart.
Bake 7-10 minutes until edges just begin to turn golden.
Remove from oven; immediately press a chocolate kiss or mini eggs into the center of each cookie.
Cool completely on wire rack before serving.
