Strawberries & Cream French Toast Casserole

This sweet and creamy baked French toast is bursting with juicy strawberries and rich cream cheese. Perfect for brunch, holidays, or a make-ahead breakfast treat the whole family will love. It’s soft, indulgent, and easy to prepare!

- 1 loaf French bread cut into 1-inch cubes
 - 1 8 oz package cream cheese, cubed
 - 2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
 - 8 large eggs
 - 2½ cups milk
 - ½ cup heavy cream
 - ⅓ cup granulated sugar
 - 2 tsp vanilla extract
 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
 - Powdered sugar for topping
 - Maple syrup for serving
 - Butter or nonstick spray for greasing
 
 
Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and layer half the bread cubes in the dish.
Top with cream cheese cubes and sliced strawberries.
Add remaining bread cubes over the top.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
Pour mixture evenly over the bread.
Cover and refrigerate overnight, or at least 4 hours.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Remove casserole from fridge 30 minutes before baking.
Bake uncovered for 45 minutes or until golden and set.
Dust with powdered sugar and serve with maple syru
 
Use day-old bread for best texture. You can substitute frozen strawberries (thawed and drained). Add a crumble topping for extra sweetness and crunch.
