Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe bananas sliced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cayenne pepper or chili powder optional for spice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add brown sugar, cinnamon, cayenne (if using), vanilla, and salt.
  • Stir to create a syrupy mixture.
  • Gently add banana slices and cook for 2–3 minutes per side.
  • Cook until caramelized and tender, but not mushy.
  • Serve warm over ice cream, waffles, or as-is.

Notes

  • Adjust spice level to your taste or skip for a classic version.
  • Add a splash of rum or maple syrup for variation.
  • Use firm bananas to avoid over-softening during cooking.
