Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 for juiciness
  • ¼ cup teriyaki sauce
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce tomato, onions, pickles

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, teriyaki sauce, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper; mix gently until combined.
  • Form mixture into 4 equal patties.
  • Preheat grill or skillet to medium-high heat.
  • Cook patties for 4-5 minutes per side until desired doneness.
  • Add American cheese slices on top during the last minute of cooking; allow to melt.
  • Toast buns if desired.
  • Assemble burgers with toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

For juicier burgers, do not overwork the meat when mixing. Use a meat thermometer for accurate doneness. Optional teriyaki glaze can be brushed on burgers while cooking to amplify flavor. Buns can be toasted with butter for extra richness.
