- 2 slices of sourdough or preferred bread
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter or mayonnaise
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded Gruyère or preferred melting cheese
Spread butter (or mayonnaise) evenly on one side of each bread slice.
Sprinkle freshly grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered sides, pressing gently to adhere.
Place one bread slice Parmesan-side down in a skillet over medium heat.
Add shredded cheddar and Gruyère cheese on top.
Cover with the second bread slice, Parmesan-side up.
Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
Let it rest for 1 minute before slicing and serving.
