Ingredients
  

  • cup raw unsalted cashews
  • 1 tablespoon hemp hearts
  • cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon black Chinese vinegar or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Tamari soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1 clove garlic chopped
  • ½ teaspoon flaky sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Soak cashews and hemp hearts in hot water for 10 minutes.
  • In a blender, combine nutritional yeast, vinegar, soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic, salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons lukewarm water.
  • Drain cashews and hemp hearts and add to blender.
  • Blend until smooth, stopping to scrape down sides as needed.
  • With blender running on low, slowly drizzle in olive oil until slightly thickened.
  • Transfer to jar and refrigerate for up to one week. Bring to room temperature before using.

Notes

  • Soaking nuts softens for creamier texture.
  • Can be drizzled on salads, bowls, sandwiches, or used as a dip.
  • Keeps refrigerated for up to 1 week.
  • Vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free.
